When and where does Diminuendo meet?
Diminuendo will rehearse on Mondays from 6:00-6:50 at First Central Congregational Church, 421 South 36th Street in Omaha. Rehearsals for our April 7th performance, Fascinating Rhythm: An Evening with George Gershwin will begin on February 4th at 6:00 p.m. How much time are we talking about? Diminuendo will have approximately 10 rehearsals per concert, plus a dress rehearsal, and will perform with MasterSingers on 2 concerts per year, our holiday concert in December & our spring concert in April. What is the Rehearsal Schedule? February Monday, 2/4, 6:00-6:50 Monday, 2/11, 6:00-6:50 Monday, 2/18, 6:00-6:50 Monday, 2/25, 6:00-6:50 March Monday, 3/4, 6:00-6:50 Monday, 3/11, 6:00-6:50 Monday, 3/18, 6:00-6:50 Monday, 3/25, 6:00-6:50 April Monday, 4/1, 6:00-6:50 (no foolin’!) Thursday, 4/4 6:30-7:30 dress rehearsal Sunday, 4/7 Concert singers called at 5:00 PM, concert at 6:00 PM Are there fees? Registration is $25 per child, per concert. Families with multiple children participating will receive a $10 discount for each child after the first child. (ex: child #1 sings for $25 per concert, child #2-202 sings for $15 per concert). These fees cover the cost of music and salary for our accompanist. No child is turned away because of financial difficulty. Scholarships are available. When do we pay? Registration fees are due at the first Diminuendo rehearsal, you may also make other payment arrangements or secure a scholarship at that time or by email. Well, this is awesome! When do we start? Rehearsal Information
Rehearsals are held Monday evenings, Diminuendo meets from 6:00 to 6:50 p.m. & The MasterSingers meet from 7:00 to 9:10 p.m. with few exceptions. Altered rehearsal times are announced in advance. Rehearsal schedules may be be altered to accommodate holidays & other events.
Absence from rehearsal is permitted with advance notice with the exception of the week of our concert. Attendance of our last Monday rehearsal and Thursday dress rehearsal is mandatory. Please plan accordingly.
